A Visit to GGFs

We welcome you to Giggling Goat Farm, we're so happy you came to experience the charm!

You'll meet goats and pet them too, there's so much for you to do!

Tour a growing dome, and a compost pile, your job is to have fun and bring a smile!

Look up high, there's so much to see, you'll see birds in the sky and buzzing bees.

Look on the ground, there's lots of amazing stuff - a bug, a beetle, a flower, and maybe a mushroom that puffs!

We'll tackle a few of your dreams, we hope... look under a rock, climb a tree and swing on a rope!

When you leave here, you will have learned a few things, and you'll take with you the wonder that Giggling Goat brings!

Programs

Food Access

GGFs is committed to increasing access to affordable, fresh foods throughout our region. We believe everyone deserves to have nutritious locally-grown options in their lives. We are partnering with Colorado State University's Extension Program to develop and produce a High Tunnel growing space and maintain best practices for sowing, planting and harvesting.

Education

Knowledge is power. We want to empower individuals throughout our region to feel confident in trying new things, exploring environmental stewardship and living in harmony with their surroundings.

We have gained so much knowledge from our neighbors, partners and the land, and we will never stop learning. We hope to share what we are learning with you.

Recreation

It's in the name... Giggling Goat Farms!

We believe that laughter and play are the best forms of education and recreation. There are so many places to play and learn on the farm and we hope individuals of all ages can come enjoy the magic of the Fairy Forest, the animals, and the rest of the farm!

Soil Regeneration & Compost Systems

We have partnered with San Miguel County Conservation Fund to run a soil analysis and will work to incorporate findings into the thoughtful design of the future of GGFs.

In addition to utilizing recommended best practices from SMC Conservation Fund and CSU Extension, GGFs is building out large-scale compost systems to accommodate regional residential and commercial needs.

Permaculture

Please visit the Permaculture page to learn about the guiding principals of GGFs. We are passionate about incorporating Permaculture into our programming, long-term vision, planning and implementation.

We want to work with the land and our animals, creating as little disturbance as possible and mimicking natural processes throughout the life of the organization.
